Yesterday io9.com offered some rational explanations for the dead birds but as more cases come to light of whole flocks, some 100,000-strong, of creatures suffering mass fatal trauma the apocalypse mongers are coming out in force to point out that it’s all leading up to that Mayan prophecy that the current world will end in December 2012.
