Past I was born in Buxton, lived in a nearby rural town for 8 years and returned to Buxton to grow into an adolescent and become a man, via going to lots of different schools and becoming more than a little adept at setting fire to things. I love the town but after returning from my adventures backpacking and working around America and Europe aged 22 I had to leave and start my proper adult life in London, where I have spent almost 10 years just trying to make sense of it and enjoying a life I never could have imagined (is our life ever what we imagined?).
Present
As the menu on the left suggests there are a few different aspects to my life. I love being busy and hate sitting still for too long so spend my time running my startup Harkable which is a Social Creative Technology company working with brands to grow their business through digital and social media; making music with my band - D'Silva; teaching people and companies how to be Lords of the internet; writing both here and on Brand Republic... and cropping up on screens here and there as a presenter and/or technology expert. Phew.
Future
My to-do list for the next few years contains things like getting my own TV documentary commissioned, building a highly successful business and playing Glastonbury. Yeah, I know, ambitious. But let's aim high and be happy with what we get and we'll be alright :)
